Yea, he took "Dazed and Confused" from Jake Holmes and changed the lyrics. He was a jerk with giving credits on that first album (I think he did the same thing to some other blues musician). But he didn't really do it in his later albums, so I don't know about him stealing more than he wrote. Either way, I'm love with guitar solos and I didn't even know it was possible to play a guitar with a bow.

I haven't really listened to rap music for a while now. Its not that I don't like it anymore, but the weather's so beautiful right now and i don't feel like listening about how hard life is and other depressing crap like that.

Out of more recent bands, I've been listening to a little Godspeed You! Black Emperor lately. A friend of mine's been recommending these Canadian artists for a while and I've only now started following up on them.

I put up a GY!BE video a few months ago on the Rec thread. Been listening to them for a long time. They have great instrumental work. You'd probably get into Mogwai too.

You should also give a listen to Venus.

Yea, I remember you putting their video up. But I didn't have enough patience to sit through the whole thing. Some of their songs are really long. I'll definitely check out Venus eventually.

What's better on a pizza: extra cheese or extra sauce? I personally prefer more sauce.

Sauce all the way for me with no contest what-so-ever. I also can't eat at any major brand name pizza places like Pizza Hut and all that crap. Once you've had Chicago pizza there is almost no substitute. BTW, Chutney, if you want to give a listen to Venus hit me up on MSN and I'll also hook you up with some ?t? 67 tracks. Their debut album has a lot of great variet, but also one of the best songs I've heard in a long time to boot.

For me, Pizza Hut > Chicago Pizza.

I know it's horrible for you and pretty disgusting when you think about how they cook it, but I'm just going on taste alone with that statement. Pizza Hut has the best tasting pizzas on the planet, especially their deep dish pizzas.

Oh yeah, and Extra Cheese > Extra Sauce.

This saturday, Vh1 is premiering a documentary on the Monterey Pop Festival of 1967. I can't wait to check that out. Acts like Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, the Byrds, the Who, Steve Miller Band, the Association, the Mamas and the Papas, Ravi Shankar, etc. That was by far the greatest era musically in our nation's history, imo. It was also our greatest social era. People were much more open and loving in the 60's.

Curious, have you ever even been to an authentic Chicago pizza place? Meaning, in the city and not one of our big company ones?

Yeah, I was enrolled at Northwestern for a while before I transferred to Tulane, so I got to experience the city. IMO, it's the greatest city in the US east of California. I love the whole downtown area, especially the pier. The only reason I didn't stick around was basketball.

As for the pizza, I guess it's just personal preferrence. Chicago style pizza is definitely different from the generic fast-food pizza places, but I've just acquired a taste for those generic places. I used to eat pizzas like crazy back in high school when I could get away with eating that junk and not gain much weight because of my metabolism and all the exercise I was getting. Now, I've got to be a little more careful about what I eat, but still, when I indulge every now and then, I love Pizza Hut and Pizza Pro (which I think is just a southern chain... it's similar to Papa John's). It's unfortunate that the greatest tasting food in the world is the worst for you.

Oh, I forgot about one style of pizza I love - New York style. There's no authentic New York places around here, but there are a lot that have adopted that style, and it's delicious.

That's cool, I was just curious. To me growing up there all my life it is fantastic and their is no substitute unless I'm in Napoli or Andorra la Vella. People come from all over the World to try our pizzas. I also remember the infamous story of John Travolta ordering a pizza from Uno and having it sent to Los Angeles because he was sick of the local pizza places. That's some crazy ****. Rich bastard. BTW, you didn't stick around because of basketball? Why is that?

Never been to a Chiacgo pizza place, but Ive heard there's is the best. The best pizza I ever had was from Little Italy in NY. Can't stand pizza hut though. Find their crusts disgusting.

Mann, its just about the time of the day when I start to feel really relly sleepy. I just fell asleep on my keyboard for the last couple minutes and now I have an imprnt on the side of my face.

Yeah, it's definitely got that reputation. I always see Chicago vs. New York debates on the Food Network.

Basically, I didn't stick around because I was given the choice of either paying nearly the full tuition out of pocket at Northwestern and walking onto the team or getting a full ride down at Tulane. I would have loved to stick around though. Northwestern is amazing, but it's just so god damn expensive.

Ah ok, well that's crap. I forget now, have you started at Tulane before the end of year or are you going to next season? Also, how is the college, if you know much about it yet. BTW, did you go to any Bulls games? I mean, you had to of. lol

You douchebag, go take a nap on the couch or something. lol

Anyway about Chicago pizza. If you're ever in the city I'll give you some recommendations. You should travel with the Toronto FC fans on a road trip to the city for a few days. I'd meet up with you at the stadium in Bridgeview.

Just happened 5 or so minutes ago. I always take my lunch at 2, because it means I can slack off while everyone else is out and then I get another hour off on top of that. Unfortunaetly it takes its toll on you if you didn't get enough sleep.

I think you can judge how good a job you have based on how often your co-workers talk about the lottery. When I worked at a factory last summer, they would constantly talk about putting in money together and about who had won it. Here, about half the people talk about it and not as intensely. But its still a frequent topic.

    At work, bro.

That'd be really cool. I have a friend who's a part of that Red Patch Boys section and I'm hoping to reach a game with him sometime soon. Not sure if he's planning on travelling to any of their games. I actually went to Chicago last year when my cousin moved there, but we never got pizza for some stupid reason.

Your first mistake was going to Heathrow. Go to Gatwick next time - it's much better. There's a cool shuttle run that you can go on, a monorail. Plus, it's like 20 miles from me [IMG]

What actually happened with BA at Heathrow?

Also, take a look at these videos from the Britain's Got Talent TV show (same show as that Opera-singing phone salesman a couple pages back):
