Simple question. Hate him all you want, thats fine. Please dont put your hate of the Lakers, or him, into your answer. I really want to know your TRUE feelings about this issue.

I thought it was gonna show who voted for who...please post and say which way you voted

I don't know. It's he said/she said.

He is an adulterer.

I read pretty much all the info available about it, and the accuser's accounts had the ring of truth IMO.

Yes, in a sense. I don't want to be too graphic here, but when a girl says she doesn't want you to put it in her....errrrr.....uhhhhh...."dirty place," regardless if you're already in the act of "normal" sex, you shouldn't do it. And if you do, I would consider that rape. At least that's what I think happened.

usually when a media star like Kobe is accussed of such a thing there's always at least one other woman who comes forward claiming the same thing, but it never happened here. Makes me think the sex was consentual or she at least went in there with a good idea of what was to happen. Maybe she changed her mind during the moment and Kobe ignored he requests to stop, or she thought she could gain some fame from the moment and lied. I don't know if we'll ever know that truth.

Yes. There's not a shred of doubt in my mind. Did she want to make out with him? Sure. Did she want to get bent over a credenza and violently slammed against it? No.

Just because you have permission to go to first base doesn't mean you have the green light to go around the bases.

I think he was full of himself and she was less than insistant. He pushed too far thinking "she wants me, she just needs some convincing."

I hate the designation "rapist" because rape is really a violent crime meant to assault the victim. Situations like the one Kobe was in are still wrong, but an entirely different classification in my mind. I know women who were raped by strangers (in the classic sense) and beat up, and I have a hard time placing Kobe in that class of scum.

I have never been in that situation (girls throwing themselves on me at every hotel, after every game). But, I have to say that if I was coming on to a girl and she even mildly stated "no" --even if I believed she was just trying to get me to convince her--I would do a 180. You can't mess with "no" these days.

I don't know. I don't have enough information.

Whether there's enough info out there or not? I don't know. Not that interested. Don't really care.

I said no. But when ever I see him i like to yell, "NO means NO Kobe"!

Not enough information, so don't know.

All I needed to know was that the girl was a whore, so I find it hard to believe she wouldn't willingly have sex with a multi-million dollar superstar athlete.

He admitted that he could see how she would think the act was not consentual. Ergo, he admitted to raping her.

Actually no. He said because she was taking him to trial she obviously thought she was raped....All that comment is saying is the obvious. To argue against that would be saying she is making this all up and a total liar. He was trying to say the PC thing in that situation.

I heard she consented to the act but when Kobe pretended her face was on fire and tried to put it out with his hose... she got pissed.

I chose option 3, but I did read the transcript of the trial a few years back and I was struck with the thought that I don't think Kobe thinks he raped that girl ... on the other hand I think there possibly came a point in their "relationship" where she said "I don't want to go any farther" and he went ahead and went past that point.

I'm still unsure of what exactly happened, and in the absence of definitive proof, I'd have to go with the legalese version of guilty or innocent and say there isn't sufficient proof beyond reasonable doubt.

However, I do think he eats babies, without a shadow of a doubt.

I do. And it makes it hard for me to like him or root for him in any way. I loved watching the Celtics crush his dreams.

I think she is a whore and a little bitch.

I think she played him and got him all hot and bothered and then suddenly said no. He thought she couldn't possibly mean it so he kept doing whatever it was he was doing.

Technically, she said no. Technically he kept going.

Technically that makes him a rapist. He was a dumbass for ever getting involved in the situation and an even bigger dumbass for not getting out his checkbook and making the thing go away.

I voted no...

And just wondering...why the hell are we still talking about this? This was five goddamn years ago, let this shit die, seriously.
