Dion Waiters with another solid game:

20 pts (50 FG%) in three quarters so far.

I like how he starts out strong in the first, sets the tone early. Lillard, take note!

No it's not. Lillard is a good defender.

He really isn't. Look at his numbers, as of today he's a Steve Nash level defender.

As he gains experience I expect (hope?) him to be a lot better down the road.

Rookies are seldom good on defense, though you do expect this to be somewhat less applicable to top shelf perimeter player rookies.

I wouldn't worry about it yet unless its a question of lack of effort.

He's been solid all month but the last three games Waiters has looked great:

    26 PTS | 65 FG%
    25 PTS | 63 FG%
    23 PTS | 44 FG%

So apparently it was much ado about nothing:

"Bledsoe will miss Tuesday's game against the Bobcats with a left calf injury, the Orange County Register reports."

Not sure why the box score would list him as DNP CD though.

Yes, his porous steal-happy defense would fit in perfectly in an All-Star game!

Holy fuck, anyone see that 3?

Well it was more about "rambling". I was posting when he stole the ball. I wasn't referring that his d was reason why he should be in the all star game. He is a fucking stud!

He does have great hands and anticipation. But I'd rather have a guy who gets fewer steals but isn't a complete liability fighting through screens and staying in front of his man. And its one thing to not be able to stay with a guy, its another when your average screen creates 15+ feet of separation between you and the defender.
