The only players in the NBA with 1300+pts and 500+reb. Way to go Aldridge!

The Blazers are lucky to have him.

LMA is an excellent player. How many NBA players would you rank ahead of him. Is he top 20, 15, 10?

Some argue that lebron is a power forward! Haha

LeBron is the only NBA player that could start at every position on the floor and still play at an All-Star level.

Magic maybe the only other guy in history that could say that.

He is a robin even still. He needs batman. But in the right system; he'd be top pf in the game. Currently I would put him 3rd or 4th

And thats why I question when people call Michael Jordan the greatest player ever.

I am one of those people. A lot of it has to do with competitive spirit, and the refuse to lose mentality. Remember Jordan sick as a dog in that playoff game? He had to be carried to the bench during timeouts. Yet he played and did really well and helped his team win.

This is absolutely nothing against Magic. I put him in the top 5 easily. Perhaps top 3. I do think Jordan is the best ever though. Of course everyone has their opinion. Other posters say Wilt is the best ever.

And how many defensive players of the year did Magic win, while leading the league in scoring AND winning the league MVP that same year? And how many all NBA defensive did Magic make, while leading the league in scoring?

That's why he isn't the best all time player.

edit: nevermind.... thought he meant overall... not power forwards....

Indeed, tonight's performance by LaMarcus Aldridge makes me question whether Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time.

Aldridge haters don't like seeing this thread

Yup. I'm an Aldridge hater. Every time he makes a shot I'm like, "DAMMIT!!!! Why did that have to go in!?! Now I can't post about how much I hate Aldridge.... woah is me, woah is me."

Either you're Mr. Ed, or you don't know how to spell woe.

Don't forget Magic played center in 1980 NBA finals and won with kareem injured in game 6 and although it was just one game it was with one of the greatest centers of all time in Moses Malone. I believe he even had a triple double in that game.

Moses Malone was Zach Randolph plus 2 inches. Strong rebounder, brick wall, but not a heady defender like Russell, Jabbar, Walton, Cowens, or Parish.

WHich dork on here last weak said there were like 12 other PFs he would take over LA?

In Jordan's first NBA Finals, he averaged 33ppg and 11apg and 55% shooting. That is fucking insane.

He is somewhere behind a combo player of Larry Sanders/JJ Reddick/filler.

Or Greg Monroe/Kyle Singler and a lottery pick...

Magic Johnson retired at the age of 31.. He lead his team to ion 5 NBA titles in only 12 years and went to the NBA finals 9 times in an era with tougher teams such as the Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons, Philadelphia 76ers, Houston Rockets ect.

On another not, I don't know how anyone in today's game can be called better than Johnson, Jordan, Bird, Dr. J ect. When the NBA has gotten to be so soft. The game is different than it was back then.

And definitely ahead of a combination of Harden and Ibaka, right?

lol

Walton set a record with 20 RB in the nba championship game and then duplicate it the next game. That is fucking dominate.
