What am I the new Pasta, starting every game thread?

awful line change with the obligatory result of a goal for the opposition

I've ragged on Pyatt as hard as anybody on here but definitely wish him the best right now. He did not look good after that hit. His abilities as a hockey player aside, concussions can be life-altering while the symptoms persist. Hopefully this isn't serious.

Kreider's been outstanding lately but I'd like to see him get more quality shots.

Yep and no retaliation from us on the cheap elbow. Meanwhile strahlman throws a clean check and gets run after by 3 different players

Why did Miller skate out of the play, just stop and block it.

Kreider doing everything but scoring and they gotta come soon with the quality chances this kid is getting

Man, DZ just sucks ass. Get rid of this clown already.

stepan kreider and zucc are dominating every time their on the ice with good chance after good chance. Why the hell is av putting cally on for kreider on pp and then screwing up the line getting back together for couple of shifts. Bad job overcoaching by AV

MDZ had an outstanding game. You're on crack 71. He lost one puck in the corner and you bash him. It's getting old and pathetic now.

He's cringeworthy Dump, no two ways about it. :) Ask Al or Chuckles what they think.

Lucky to get 2 points tonight, they definitely ran out of gas. But good teams find a way to win these games

Chuck's opinion on Del Zotto is useless. He blames the entire Devils playoff loss on him and can't get over it. Yet, all these other teams in the league are still trying to trade for him.

They weren't lucky to get 2 points. They should have won this game 6 or 7 to 2. Their goalie pulled saves out of his ass.

How well has Talbot looked so far. Never saw that coming. Very calm demeanor.

Faceoffs are a bit of an issue, they need to do a better job in that dept.

The should let Miller take the faceoff's if he's playing with Brassard. Brassard has never been good on faceoffs. Miller is.

MDZ only had 13.5 minutes ice time tonight but that's not relevant to the objectively challenged. Got it, you hate the guy but enough already. Glen's not making a panic move to give MDZ away for a possible 15 goal scorer, he's worth a lot more than that. A move like that doesn't even have an impact the loss of a premier player like Nash anyway. Forget about a good Ranger win on the road in what could have been a classic let-down game putting them back at .500. Sorry to see Pyatt get hurt but it will be interesting to see who gets his spot and minutes.

You are one of the stupiest people in history dump, that is all I will say. You proved how much of a moron you were earlier this week. And no matter how many times I tell you I wanted DZ gone long before the Devs series, and can show you about 700 posts on ESPN boards to prove it. And no matter how many times I tell you the whole team ran out of gas against the Devs, and a lot of players stunk not just DZ, you just don't listen.

My god you are a dumb block of wood dump...LOL.

Why would it be a panic move to deal MDZ for a solid winger scorer when you factor in:

1. It would be assinine to re-sign him to a 3 or 4 year deal worth 3 or 4 mill per.
2. It would be assinine to re-sign him to that kind of deal when you factor in we have a good group of young dmen ready to step up.
3. It would be assinine to re-sign him to that kind of deal when you understand that he simply has not gotten better the past few seasons, and is still up and down like a yo-yo.

So I don't get it. I understand why dump wants to go behind the stands and blow MDZ, him and I have debated MDZ for about 3 years now and since he was wrong, and dump simply is incapable of admitting he is wrong, the child in dump comes out so he resorts to calling people names instead of saying he is wrong. But looking at the makeup of the team I cannot understand why anyone else would want to re-sign MDZ to that kind of deal if we can get a good solid scoring winger for him. That puzzles me. No one is saying give him away, but if we can get a solid scorer for him, we'd be dumb not to deal him IMO.

I'd like to see Hrivik or Lindberg get a shot in Pyatts absence. Of course they cooooouuuullllddd make a deal involving a certain blueliner. :) What exactly is DZ good for other than the occasional stretch pass which connects or a nice end to end rush every full moon? He's timid, dosen't shoot very well and is a turnover waiting to happen. They need a little more size up front even with the increased scoring lately, they're still a little small overall.

I'd honestly feel more comfortable re-signing Eminger and playing him over DZ right now.

I am not even getting on MDZ anymore. That is why I don't mention him until idiot dump has to start his typical shit. The bottom line to me is if we can get a good solid scorer, given the makeup of the team, it makes perfect sense to make a deal. That is my point. It isn't even just about MDZ's play. When you factor everything in it just makes so much sense to make a deal if we can get a proven scorer for him.

Just because the team has broken out a little offensively dosen't mean you can ignore the extra production Nash would've given, plus the size he provides up front. Even with Nash they still could've used another forward.

Saying DZ "doesn't shoot very well" has got to be the biggest understatement so far this season. I can't ever remember him simply beating a goaltender with a shot, I don't think he has a slapshot in his arsenal, and he misses the net more than any player I've ever watched on a regular basis.

I didn't think he was awful tonight, but I surely noticed when Marian "I Never Win Battles For The Puck In Corners Because A Stiff Breeze Knocks Me Down" Gaborik outmuscled him for the puck behind the net.

DZ's ceiling isn't much higher than where he's at right now. His hockey IQ seems low and he has no shot. If other teams are knocking down the door to get him, take the best offer and call it a day.

And yet MDZ has led Rangers defensemen in scoring the last two years but I guess there's no point throwing facts at Rangers followers who evaluate players emotionally. Career shooting %: MDZ 7%; McD 6.3%, Staal 5.3%, Girardi 4.2% so guess that shooting accuracy nonsense is emotionally based too. MDZ skates & dangles circles around the other 3, another reason Glen wouldn't include him in Nash trade talks. I see MDZ staying and Girardi as odd man out next year because he'll be able to get more money from another team. Speaking of softness I recall during a Flyer game a few years ago Girardi standing by and watching Carcillo pummel Gaborik, point is Moore seems to be the only dman on the Rangers willing to drop the gloves which is why we've needed need a McIlrath type enforcer for years.
