No one had issues with the "Jailblazers" when they were winning. It was the year they took a nose dive in the 2nd half of the season everyone suddenly hated them. Winning cures all.

I don't necessarily disagree. But Cousins attitude and work ethic prevents a team from winning. Thats why I care about it. Plus it costs signficant resources to acquire Cousins; I'd much rather put those to a less risky use.

Rasheed was one of my favorite players; he was just a crazy angry Muslim. Rasheed got along great with teammates, had a diverse game, played unselfish, and was an elite defender. Cousins is none of those.

You seem to be confusing on court problems with off court problems. Has Cousins ever been arrested? Has he ever been in jail? My objections to him have nothing to do with off court behavior (although I do prefer to root for athletes that also happen to be decent law-abiding members of the community), my problems with Cousins are due to his on court behavior and how it negatively impacts his team. Getting ejected because you loose your temper hurts your team. Disrespecting your coach and teammates kills morale and team chemistry.

Paul is a fake artist and Cousins does not like Wade. If we had him it would be really bad PR thRed car nose dive.jpg

I'm not advocating for Cousin. My statement was more of a matter of fact, regardless of who it is.

Sheed was a knucklhead on and off the court, same with Bonzi. They were cheered till they sucked.

I disagree. Show me ring teams that were built around thugs. Most championship teams and dynastys had maybe a thug or two, but by and large good people with teamwork first. A thug team will never last long because of mental instability. YOu want a roller coaster of emotions and still never win? Bring on the thugs. Im okay with a thug on a good team, but not a team of thugs.

Maybe you're right. I thought it was neat having people of different beliefs on the team but I suspect some fans didn't care for it.

Detroit comes to mind. Laimbeer, Mahorn and Rodman where as close to NBA thugs as a team is likely to get.

Bringing Boogie Cousins the Blazers would be one of if not the biggest Mistake this franchise could claim on trades or FA's.
    They don't need Sheed 2.0
People seem to forget just how bad it was when the idiot was here.

It was bad, really bad when Rasheed was here. I'm talking going to the conference finals bad. Right after he left, we were much, much better.... oh wait. Well, he destroyed the team he went to - ooops.

I suspect that if we got Boogie, we'd have a good shot at the conference finals, too.

It took a long time and a shit ton of knuckleheadedness to finally burn away all the good will stockpiled by the Drexler-era team.
