Talks between New York and Portland are believed to be in the early stages, but at least one scenario discussed involved an additional player from Portland being sent in a trade, according to sources. Portland's Moe Harkless is one player who was discussed in a possible trade scenario, sources told ESPN.

It is unclear which players outside of Harkless have been discussed. It's worth noting that the Blazers have nearly $133 million in guaranteed contracts on their books for the 2017-18 season, so they may be looking to shed salary in any transaction involving their first-round pick.

Picks/Mo for cap space and mediocore talent (KOQ) is trash.
 
As with all trade rumors, other then it being probably made up, it depends greatly on who they get in return.
 
So what I get from that is that we're trading all our picks to get teams to take the players we signed last year off our hands. Yay.

Absolutely agree. Problem is that his is the only one that probably looks good in other team's eyes.

I personally don't think Turner's is that bad though. I could see teams wanting him without us having to give up picks.

Unless of course, as reported above, the team isn't looking at salary dumps, and just wants value in return. Then Harkless is one of the first on that list.
 
If you can get Hernangomez - the 15th will likely go - and grab Jordan Bell with either of the picks we have left.
 
Trading any of our firsts for Hernangomez would be a steal for Portland. If New York really is that dumb, wow...but I'll take it.

Not a huge Melo fan, but I'd be okay with that. I might even throw in pick #26. It would definitely make things interesting in our division, not that that even means anything.

This sounds to me like NY has a leaky front office, i'm shocked by that, and they want Mo.

Yea that would another steal for Olshey. We be set at center for awhile with Nurk and Hernangomez.
