I'd go after Holiday aggressive like now.

What teams have enough depth/assets to make the Pels an attractive offer, and still have a good enough roster left that AD would be willing to play for them? I'd say the list is pretty short, and the Blazers aren't even close to being on it. The only consolation, is that the same could be said about the Lakers.

If he winds up with the Warriors, I may light myself on fire.:evilfire:

I'd actually kinda love it if they traded KD for him.

I bet the Warriors would consider that, but not the Pelicans.

An all Cali WCF for the next few years seems about what I should expect from the NBA

I don't think New Orleans will trade him to the west...the east needs another superstar to make the playoffs more competitive...with Lebron going to the Lakers I'd say the Pelicans trade with Boston....teams generally don't like trading superstars within their own conference

Boston, Philly and Lakers are 3 teams that have the assets to make a deal for Davis. I don;t think anything happens till the off season as that's when they can get their best deal.

If LA gets AD for a haul of young players like Ball/Ingram/Kuzma does a trade like this makes sense for them to follow up with? CJ is younger, would he fit with those LA guys better?

AD is definitely going to the Lakers. It just remains to be seen how exactly it transpires. It could easily backfire on LA.

    Pardon the blasphemy, but...

If CJ is a significantly better player when Dame is out, would a Dame-for-Davis trade make the Blazers a better team?

Nah. CJ's still doesn't run the team as well as Dame even when he's the lead guard out there.

    Not to mention the intangibles.

    Not disputing that
    Dame > CJ
That's pretty inarguable. Just asking if
    CJ + Davis > CJ + Dame
...and whether the difference would be large enough to consider making the swap.

This summer, Boston's absolute best offer will probably be: Tatum + Brown + Smart + extra 1st round picks available to throw in

Unfortunately, I don't think we (or anyone for that matter) can match that.

I shoulda been more clear. I don't think CJ + Davis > CJ + Dame, but Davis + Dame >> all other combos

If a trade goes down before the deadline, I bet it doesn’t happen until the last minute. There will be a ton of offers to vet and right now the Pels are undoubtedly asking the world for Davis.

    east...
Boston, Philly, Toronto or Miami although NO might look to trade with Washington for Beal or Wall or Porter

The trade deadline is on the same days as the All Star draft when Lebron will inevitably pick AD. Should make for fun TV. I'm sure the league is loving this
