Obviously I want Poku but McDaniels or Hampton wouldn't be terrible picks... depending on who else is around at 16.

Hampton has a similar personality/mindset as Dame imo. He’s definitely a culture fit. And he also fits Olsheys MO of upside/top recruit. Just not sure he’ll be there at 16.

    Maxey = Monta Ellis w/defense

That’s his ceiling IMO. His outside shot is Rando-esque: 29%

Monta Ellis used to torch us every time.

First draft in at least 20 years where I’m clueless. Outside of watching the zag games I don’t really have the time I used to.

What I’ve seen of Wiseman and Edwards they don’t seem like in a good draft they’d be anywhere near #1 picks

Edwards shows glimpses but makes awful boneheaded plays and looks like he plays for himself

Might be a perfect draft to have the 16th pick

this is the perfect draft if you’re looking for complimentary pieces. Not so much if you need a franchise pillar.

A good point that is often over-looked. Free agency is not a realistic tool for us, so acquiring tradable assets is doubley important.

Ugh. Maxey is the only guy of those 3 that wouldn't piss me off.

For the 16th, that sounds good to me! A bench led by Maxey and Trent would be an actual asset.

This is a trade I thought of off the top of my head:

    POR gets #45, Chuma Okeke

    ORL gets Simons, #16

If Olshey’s gameplan is to try and get a guy like Scrubbs, he’ll have two 2nds to trade up to secure him. I wouldn’t do this trade if Bey was available, but more often than not, I see him gone by #16 on mock drafts.

ORL has also been trying to trade up, so having another mid-1st might get them towards #10 area.

    Yikers.

That’s a horrific deal for Portland.

Maxey is a solid pick. Jaden seems 2 years out. I can't get a read on RJ Hampton. The New Zealand competition seems pretty weak and his numbers weren't good.

Im kind of liking Green because of his defense and athleticism. Maxey, Green, or Smith if we cant get acquire Bey or Nesmith.

The two guys that fit Portland’s “culture” the best to me are Hampton and Maxey. Both seem intelligent and willing to work. Bey too, but I doubt he’ll even be there.

Not many can step in right away and help.

You either go upside or take the safe route.

Tillman IMO is one of the few that can help Portland right away with his NBA-ready defense.

I'd be very disappointed IF Blazers draft Jaden McDaniels...why? Sure he's talented but he's also a bit of a head case and not ready to play now like Saddiq Bey or even Aaron Nesmith!

Yes, Jaden had some character issues last year at UW...I watched most of their games!

His character issues were making you watch the games?
