This is one of the saddest threads I've seen on s2.

I hope he finds the help he needs. I have my own pontifications about why this happened, but they don't really matter.

He's no longer an employee of the team. They have about as much obligation to reach out to him as does every fan who received entertainment value from watching him play. So, if you feel the team should be reaching out, then you should be, too. Practice what you preach.

I wish he would keep that mentality cause it obviously wasn’t incorrect and being an NBA superstar shouldn’t be the barometer for his success. He could have gone overseas... Maybe still could if he wanted to. Who knows man... Wild... We’ve seen “it” happen with others before. Like Barkley at the playground in space jam...

Now as someone who is out of shape himself and could stand to be more of a “gym rat” - I don’t have a leg to stand on really... Just hope he’s well mentally and physically.

No they don’t have any obligation and perhaps they won’t reach out to him at all - but it’s no more or less judgmental for Stotts, Dame, Nurk, Neil, HCP, or anyone else in the organization to consider his well being than it is for any of us “keyboard warriors” who sincerely felt his backstory when he became a trailblazer.

I mean if we’re playing the speculation game, he’s definitely not happy. You don’t put on that much weight in that short of time if everything is ok.

If you made such an attempt, regardless of how it was received, you would be above judgement.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Dame reaches out to say something (perhaps he already has), but Dame is also pretty busy being Dame so Dame (and Caleb) both know the time doesn’t mean anything.

Truth be told Dame is real AF, so he probably will have faith that Biggie is gonna be good and just let him know that he’s still a teammate and has his back.

Calebs been coached his whole life on what to eat and how to stay in shape. If he’s not in shape it’s because he chose not to be...

If it’s that much of a struggle for anyone, it’s understandable that you’d want to be “free” of it. Sometimes that means enjoying a cheeseburger if it makes you feel more enjoyment in life.

Hopefully that is where Caleb is at, and that he’s able to live a good life doing whatever it is he plans to do + marijuana apparently... But who really cares about that? lol...
