... then Florida's backup catcher flipped out a lucky double. Logan hates me, I'm a jinx magnet.

My issue is the orioles and KC laying dumps against Houston and Texas. Like tf they supposed to be good.

I wanted Logan to go for the complete game, too.

That s how you beat a shitty team. Bliss was brilliant and murder on the bases. Not much to say for those that can’t hit AAA pitching.

Thats former hillsboro hops Ryan Bliss!

Watched him a ton when he was here. He's been raking the last couple of games. Excited to see where this goes.

Servais likes preserving arms. It’s a long season. It’s also good to show trust in your bullpen.

As far as other teams winning, you can only control what you can control.

Best young staff in baseball. Bring on the bullpen to preserve those youthful arms.

Thread was started to discuss the Mariners which is a semi local team and convenient to follow.

I never understand the fickle fan. Like they could be typical M’s which isn’t sniffing the playoffs. Instead they’re 10 games over .500

It will be exciting to see what happens before the trade deadline because something will

Bazardo isn't trustworthy but I get your point. Lol

This has been a really fun season, but we have to get a bat if we're going to be a serious team. But I'll still cheer just as much.

I'm not worried. After 20 years of shit all, I'm just happy we're playing in meaningful games again.

By the end of the two other games, we gave up 4 games in the standings in a week.

    Have to sweep the rays.

When a team can't hit AAA-level pitching you got problems. JRod simply is not playing at star-level. Gets plenty of opportunities to show that he is a star and just can't deliver. One trade at the deadline is not gonna move the needle. Cal, Mitch Garbage, Mitch Haninmyass, JP, Dielan, and Calzone, are all offensive liabilities.

Jrod needs to just adjust a little more. I'm not worries about him. He will figure it out.

Dylan carried us for 5 or 6 games which is what you need with a pitching staff like ours.... a lineup that can have random hot players win us 4 games or so. It's the only reason we have a 6 game cushion. (Annoyed we lost 4 games on that cushion in a week, but I digress).

JP will be fine, he's the least I'm worried about. Cal is just a hitter that hits at the right time and sucks the rest lol.

So, all that said, I think one big bat changes A LOT. A vlad Jr would be great. Make the pitchers have to pitch more on the corners with the top of the lineup.

This is the year, if there ever was a year.

Marlin fans are probably pissed. The Mariners are messing up their draft pick.

Legit question, what do you all think is the cause of the M's poor hitting? We've been like this since at least the late 2000s. I personally attributed this to their ballpark (which I think is very pitcher friendly) and the marine layer, ???. Chone freakin' Figgins is a great example, and Beltre, and etc. etc. etc. people who come to Seattle and can't hit. Regretfully I think it's actually our culture and coaching but I hope that's wrong because like shit.

The marine air and ballpark doesn't keep you from putting the bat on the ball. It also has absolutely no effect on the team when they are playing in Florida other than it's a different marine air?
The mariners have "legit question" sucked since 2000. That is the answer. This year they can pitch a bit. Get one or two players that can consistently put the bat on the ball and they will be in a better spot. If management does what i expect and sit on their hands thinking this AL west lead is safe you will continue to see them not hit the ball wherever they are playing.

They simply cannot even put the ball in play, in general. More SEA batters K than any other team in the league.

I was watching a video about Randy Johnson. Of course the Bird incident was mentioned. Guess I didn't know that happened when he was with the Mariners. Also didn't know that he is a photographer now, and his company logo has a dead bird on it. Does photography for NFL games.
