I played pick up hoops at Black Sands beach courts on the Big Island until the volcano destroyed them....those volcanic rock courts are brutal scrapers!

It’s been forever since we got away obviously with everything going down the past 18 months. Was messing around and was on my Delta app to see how much it would cost to head back to Kauai with the wife. I was completely shocked at how cheap it is, sky miles wise!
Last time we went, it was about 50,000 miles round trip each! Just looked yesterday and it was 40,000 miles round trip for BOTH of us!!! That’s ridiculous! It can be about 45,000 just to go to LA normally! We might be heading back in February during all star break!

All set! Just booked it. The wife and I head back to the Garden Isle all star break in February! Found a great deal on Hawaiian Airlines. $525 Total for both of us! Can’t believe it! It will be our first getaway in over two years.

Using the TURO app again to get a car. Had a fantastic experience with it about 5 times now. Got this JEEP for our week in Kauai for about a grand LESS than the normal rental places there at the airport.

I got a new passport last year. First time I used it coming back from London last month I got the dreaded SSSS on my boarding pass (additional screening at the gate, they open up your bag, etc).

I have global entry, it was so cool. The camera just did facial recognition and I walked right through customs back in LA.

Ahh shit I always get that extra screening, like every damn time. Ive almost missed flights in Iceland, Colombia and Mexico because of that crap. I was hoping Global Entry would stop that because the SSSS is a TSA thing. I went to book a global apt and can't get one till Sept. Is it worth it if you have TSA?

Just got our house. First two times there we got houses kinda tucked in the jungle. Only a couple blocks from the beach, but all hidden in the trees. Absolutely love the seclusion of the north shore, beaches as far as the eyes can see with NO people in sight!

If you fly international, it may be just to skip the line of people.

For some reason they weren't using the "Mobile Passport" at LAX, which has saved me time in the past.

The line was probably 100 deep but 0 people in the global entry area. I just walked to a kiosk, removed the mask, and it scanned my face and told me to proceed and that was it.
