wow, I can't believe we got what we got in this trade, Plums was likely gone because of POR salary issues and we got a first rd pick as well, yeah Nurk may be a risk but is exactly the kind if risk POR needed to take. Plus this opens the door for other deals given we have 3 1st now in 2017!

He'll probably be a better rim protector than Plumlee.

When you roll the trade back to it's origin, didn't we essentially trade something like the #22 pick for Nurkic and what will probably end up being a mid-teens pick in a reportedly strong draft? That's a really good return on the initial investment.

Oh, okay. Not as good, but still pretty nice.

Ha, Nuggets fans don't seem to like this trade, that's a good sign ;)

Interesting. We traded a "point center" for an incredibly high-usage low-post scorer. Not sure what that says to Stotts.

Like the first rounder, though, and Nurkic had great defensive numbers last year.

Neil was going to lose Plumlee and get nothing in return this summer, so this was the best possible outcome we could hope for.

I'm not high on Nurkic, but he's a big body and cheap so that's good. The first rounder this year is the real prize -- probably nothing special in the mid twenties, but three first rounders are valuable assets and provide some flexibility.

The other plus: we all love Plums as a bargain player, but when he gets a Crabbe-like contract we won't think so highly of him.

The guy's a tank. He could hurt someone, LOL. I hope he keeps his weight down. Some of those passes were nice!

Horrible thought: does this mean that Meyers is now our starter?

Nurkic is the opposite of a rim protector though

Career per 36 is 15pts 12reb 2.2ast and 2.2bks. He is only 22 also. Going to really miss Mason but this looks like a good trade for multiple reasons.

I know you can make any player look good in a highlight video but this is impressive. I would recommend anyone who isn't familiar with his game to watch this video.
