disobeying the cops in a obvious event/issue and just doing what you wanna do regardless is a petty quick way to get arrested. probably just on the 'dont you know who i am?' buzz
Given the amount of athletes that bail on press conferences for much smaller reasons, I'm guessing not.
He specifically said he did not drop his name or who he was. Though he had previously been told to by-pass the line by another officer who was letting the players in the tournament go ahead. Will be shocked if all the charges aren't dropped based on the eye-witness accounts.
I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't body cam footage in the first place. Wasn't the officer a detective in a windbreaker? The whole scene sounds confusing.
That is exactly why he should have stopped. Someone was hit and killed. There were far more police and other emergency vehicles there than just directing traffic for a golf tournament. There was an active investigation going on.
I agree with you. Golfers sometimes have laser focus... He wanted to get his range session in, and he had blinders on. I wasn't trying to excuse it.
I’ve worked at that golf course a couple times. That entrance is no joke. Busy ass 2 lane country road. It gets so chaotic there during these tournaments. This guy is an ass by the way. Keep him locked up!
Typical response from "Keep Portland Weird" social justice warriors. So much white guilt I'm surprised you're able to breathe. It's all about white privilege....right. Why don't we hear the full story and actual facts. They did take him to jail and he's the number 1 professional golfer in the world. You people never cease to amaze me.
Oh come on... If he was back you jokers would have a completely different spin and opinion. It's been well played out and anyone that has a shred of common sense knows it. What you guys conveniently disregard. Is Sheffler is one of the most respected and well liked players on tour. No, let's completely forget those facts and let's go with the narrative. He's a spoiled entitled rich white guy. He deserves it. Let's slap a felony on him and ruin his life. .. just shameful
You think it's not a valid opinion. Then elaborate why. I'm waiting Kano. I'm speaking of Sheffler's Character. Do you think he really intentionally tried to harm that police officer?
