Good episode to listen to. Speaks with Marc Stein and Lowe brings up a rumor that he said spread very quickly that Aldridge went up to Gasol during Game 3 and asked about teaming up this off-season, likely in San Antonio...

The more and more I hear about Aldridge, I hope he leaves. I don't want him back here. He just doesn't have the IT factor in his personality. Could you imagine Dame under ANY circumstance doing something like that?

Good riddance.

If they are looking to team up, we have a nice landing spot in Portland for both with an all star Pg :D

Ok, first of all I think LMA stays.

But with that said, with rumors that LMA thinks Lillard gets too much attention and that he doesn't get enough from a franchise (doesn't feel like he is treated as true number 1) he sure wants a lot of help and if it was good help (like Gasol) he wouldn't be #1 option in a teams mind. Pretty contradicting thinking he has (if rumors are true - which they aren't always).

It's funny how fans praise the players then say "he wasn't shit anyways" when they suspect they leave.

I don't think there's been a single story to come out that would suggest Aldridge is even thinking about staying in Portland

If he was really about winning, he'd on the first plane to Cleveland.

If he's really upset about not being the #1 (instead of being worried about winning a title), he's not concerned about winning a title.

Woj reported that it's between SA (presumably for the ring potential) and Portland for the 5th year.

If that is true, then fuck this guy. GTFO

And Woj is the only one besides LMA that I would trust. All the other reports don't mean shit since they are all going off one single report from long ago.

Might want to change that sig then

And it's going to be hilarious when LA leaves and you look back at all your conspiracy posts about Olshey and LA fooling the entire NBA!! I've always loved LaMarcus and he's been fun to watch play--but the reports of him being butt-hurt about not being viewed as a #1 option when he was drafted were always concerning to me. If true, this just solidifies his lack of cajones and "it" factor. I'd rather build around Dame and put my trust in Olshey to keep doing a great job.

LMA has been an awesome Blazer. I'd love if he stays, but if he leaves I'll still root for him. Just behind the Blazers. He has been a stand up guy, never disrespected Portland, the Blazers, his teammates or the fans. He deserves better from us than this petty fuck-him attitude.

I would much rather have positive spin than to lie about the player I put on my signature. There is a reason why so many teams are seeking him out. Sorry he didn't massage your sack when you were crying to his poster.

Is there fool proof audio that he said that?

If not, you just got caught hook line and sinker by the media.

I'm okay with whatever LA does. More than anything, I'm anxious to see what Portland does, whether that includes LA or not. Right now, I like the moves we made, and while I think they're good moves for about a year from now, I'm not sure what it does for next season. I don't want to go back to being a 30-35 win team. So... I'm anxious to see what Neil Olshey is able to pull off. I think the guys we have are young, talented, lots of potential. Add LA or his replacement, and another 2 solid players, plus some crafty vets, and we could have a performance like the 2013-14 team if the guys come together as they did that season. It's one of the things I've enjoyed about the last two seasons.... the team as a whole was greater than the sum of its' parts. I don't think that was a fluke - I kinda believe Neil knows how to put together a roster that maximizes its' abilities, as if there is some equation for it.

That just seems like an insane thing to say, during a playoff game, with your teammates presumably around you. I'm not the biggest LA fan, but I'm calling bs

Tell me about it.. Thats why I say we should have traded him

Yeah and let's not forget where Lowe gets paid by. ESPN is tryin to save face for their shitty 99.9% certain rumor

I'm not going to get into whether this story is true or not, but I just think it's funny, having played, how would you feel if you were in Gasol's shoes and you are in the middle of a playoff series and a guy comes up to you and essentially says, "Hey, let's ditch these good teams we're already on and play for a team we're already just as good if not better than next year." If I were a player in Gasol's position, that would pretty much make playing with the guy making that proposal the last thing I'd want to do. Why would you want to go to battle with a guy so eager to jump ship?

As far as the truth of the story, it only seems likely to me if Aldridge really had some kind of ax to grind with the Blazers. He always comes off in interviews as a pretty mellow, low-key guy. Heck, he often plays that way. If he actually did something like this, then he's a real master of changing his personality when he's being interviewed ... he should go to LA and get into acting. I just think this story seems pretty unlikely.

Lowe and Stein mention it in the first 5-10 minutes of the Podcast.
So they didn't have a clip of Aldridge saying that? Do they have other people that can confirm? Because I've heard Aldridge said to Olshey that he's staying. In fact, I believe that came from his mouth to the press.

Things change. That was a year ago. We can call him a liar but let's not act like we've never changed our minds about anything before.
