Stotts adapts as well if not better than most coaches without riding the coattails of an MJ or Kobe talent
The only problem is getting those players here. They definitely don't come here for stotts via FA. lol.
I think the only reason Stotts is still the coach is because olshey thinks it will allow him to get a big name free agent because Stotts will let them do whatever they want on offense/defense.
Just have a hard time with blaming Stotts for Aminu not fighting through a screen and Lillard not being in position to cover a shot from the arc. But then again his average for making that shot this year is pretty good.
I agree to a point. Kind of wish Stotts put some more work in on the Refs. A tech every now and again would be nice to see. The Players would benefit in the long run if the Refs knew they were going to get an ear full if they didn't call the game straight.
Fair enough. I just give him a bit more credit for doing much more with much much less over his time here. Rivers wins games because he has huge talent on that team.
I guess I just think Stotts is such a shitty coach. If you eliminate the impossible (Stotts being a good coach) you’re left with the possible.
Trying to create a scenario that is completely outlandish to support an opinion.... Hmmmm. Lets see? An owner spends Millions and Millions to have a good team but lets a GM keep a coach that is Shitty so he can maybe get a player he doesn't know will even be available? Oh yeah.... I can see that all day every day of the week. Wow i figured out something to say about it.
I guess you don’t understand the part about me thinking that Stotts isn’t a good coach. Go back and try to re-read that. Unless Paul Allen, REALLY doesn’t like Stotts, he’s just gonna go with whatever his GM says. Because he’s paying him millions of dollars to do the job of GM.
So now you are saying the owner is willing to trust his GM to keep a bad coach so he can lure a better free agent. You see how crazy this sounds? It's just outlandish on every level. Whether you think he is a bad coach or not. Allen has owned the Blazers long enough, and been to enough games that he knows what kind of coach he has.
No he isn't. Your conspiracy theory is just that. Go post that shit on TMZ or something. Here is where the big boys discuss situations in realistic terms.
You will have to come up with more to get me to try harder. It was too easy from the beginning. Sorry. The theory isn't even credible let alone outlandish.
