And i don't want hear any Love it or Leave it B.S. I served my country. Just don't like what it's turning into. A land where the rich have all the power, and the rest need to learn to be happy with the scraps.

Alarms sounded in my memory. Years ago, you wrote on this board that I would be your Campaign Manager when you run for Mayor of Portland. My lawyers interpret the intent of this written promise to contractually include any future political office.

As Campaign Manager, I'll decide. Whether you like it or not, you will be drafted into this race, because we need a boring moderate as the public face of the team. With Denny's money, Sly's looks, and my brains we can't lose. I'll trot each puppet onstage as needed.

    Interesting comments from Doc Rivers:

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...-leonard-quarantine-protocol-arriving-orlando

While I agree with much of what he said, the interesting part is that he honed in on the police/military part, and totally ignored the Hong Kong part. So, really he did the exact same thing he's accusing Hawley of, namely turning it into the military or the police to change the narrative (because $$$). It's the irony of everything going on around us, with both sides using similar tactics while accusing the other of those very same things..

If Hawley really cares about the Hong Kong issue maybe he should have just focused on that. He's the one the that diluted whatever point he was trying to make bring the police and military into it.

I'm not going to do it because I'm lazy but it would be nice to know what legislation he's introduced or co-sponsored about what is going on with Hong Kong. He is in a much better position to make legitimate change then the NBA is.

From the summary, S. 2758 seems to be on point.

I agree 100%. And I think Woj should quit. Join The Ringer or start his own business. ESPN would be less than without him.

True, and Woj should have been mature enough to jump on that in his initial response. It would have been an easy counter-argument, saying that the jersey policy is for social justice causes, and that doesn't apply to the military or police. He still would have had to tiptoe around the Hong Kong part, though. I think that's the real reason for the "fuck you" response. He should have just kept quiet, being trapped in a corner there.

this thread..? How about the entire planet? When the presiodent is a science denier, refuses social responsibility for poll numbers and leads the country to the bottom of the world stats in covid response while encouraging reopening the country for money....yeah.....he's going to be part of that conversation...there's an orange man good thread here anyone can join in there and sing his praises....the internet is media fueled....Trump has been at war with the media most of his life...he painted himself into his own corner...it's not a few basketball fans fault he's an important talking point in an election year....people should scroll back to S2s OT section for 8 years of Obama and see the trend then....let's say it was really aggressive and condescending towards non conservatives...this is the Trump chapter....and conservatives are in no position to whine about the dissatisfied people just because they've enabled him and given him a platform he's clearly abused. Basketball has gotten behind the BLM movement...and I believe they should support it.
Trump encouraged people to go back to work and my oldest granddaughters did....they did and came home with the virus....yeah....the Orange man is bad...gloves are off...anyone who doesn't want to hear me reference it can just put me on ignore. In the words of Wanda Sykes....if you voted for Trump and bought tickets to my show...you fucked up twice!

There is also an orange man bad thread so most basketball folk don't have to read all the daily drizzle about how much others hate Trump.

Times can improve you know. Just because something was done 8 years ago, doesn't mean it has to be copied again 8 years later.

    Be better.

A thread about Woj and the NBA should not have Trump plastered all over it.

Trump is not plastered all over it but if you think the US and it's politics aren't part of it...then put me on ignore....gloves are off. Y'all post what you want but if you don't want my venting...don't engage it...just don't "like" the post. Choices.....now is the time for calling out the wrongs of the world...not massaging them ...I'm going to practice what I believe. How about we stop worrying about S2 snowflakes and make the world a safe place for minorities...I'm with Woj....fuck dumb shit This board wasn't segregated thread wise until recently....it was public...freedom of speech is not going away because of anybody's private club

so, orange man bad because of how he originally handled the virus? was orange man bad when the unemployment rate was at a 50+ year low? black unemployment rate at an all time low? hispanic unemployment rate at an all time low? the first step act? i can keep going on how he has helped the black community, but what's the point? all you will do, and pretty much everyone else on here, is bash him for no good reason no matter what he does.

wanting our president to fail is like wanting a captain of a cruise ship to sink it.
