How can we get rid of Batum?

Batum needs to never play for this team again. Did any of you see how atrocious he was tonight? He looked like he was taking mini-power naps during some plays, he was letting rebounds sail over his head, not closing out on guys, throwing up bad shots. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Sometimes I feel like I'm in the twilight zone, watching how crappy he plays yet Stotts continues to give him starters minutes. Why not play someone like Alonzo Gee? At least you know you'd be getting SOMETHING from him.
 
He has some value - he's now an exp. contract.

Batum never took that next step. He's a bust. Also, dealing with his agent was dirty. Batum isn't worth going through that again.
 
Leave him out on the curb until another team comes and gets him like a piece of furniture.
 
Seriously though, it would be amazing if we could clear enough space to offer Draymond Green a toxic offer to replace Batum.
 
Going to be a long off season. Some of these threads are borderline ban worthy. If outsiders were posting them they would be blocked in no time.
 
Apparently the Raptors always liked him. They need to make changes too. Maybe we can send him East and get TRoss and some cap space back?

Aldridge is easily far and away the best player of the bunch.

Monroe is not a winning player. Half of the posters around here love the guy now, within a year or two they would be crying and begging to have Aldridge back.

You can probably get Hibbert for a lot less. I really want Hibbert, but I want him playing with Aldridge. You could probably get him for Kaman's partially guaranteed deal and a sign and traded Rolo, indiana wants nothing to do with him anymore.

Brandon Jennings sucks and is coming off of an injury. We don't need another shooting guard that sucks at defense.

Thank you for the lesson. I'm just worried that after watching LA against Memphis that his body language tells me he's gone. I would rather get something through a sign and trade then nothing at all. Who would you choose? Vucevich(sp?) instead of Monroe?

Dealing Batum for that garbage would make Lamarcus leave on the first plane out of the Portland.

I'm one of the biggest Batum critics and that deal is laughable
 
I think it's high time to move on with this team if Aldridge leaves. If Aldridge stays, I would still entertain offers for Batum. I don't like how he plays 365 a year. Of course his body breaks down

No, but we need another guard who can actually defend and make 3s. Not to mention on a contract that will be considered chump money after next season.

We can use the Boston pick for Batum's successor. Maybe Dekker or package up and get Stanley Johnson somehow.

And a realistic deal is....?

Dude has been on the decline since signing his deal. Getting a first-rounder and a prospect is the ceiling for a Batum deal.
 
These deals for starters for draft picks are laughable.

That really shows Lamarcus we are committed to winning. Yay for lotto balls!

All we truly need is a defensive player and/or a shooter to fill Batum's spot, yes his passing would be missed but I firmly believe that we'd be better off with Dame and CJ as the main ball handlers.
 
Batum's passing, like his defense this season has been massively overrated. It seems like there's at least several stupid passes/inbounds that lead to turnovers and scores on the other end.
