Is it @THE HCP or has this rookie class not really lived up to the hype?

I think they were called the worst rookie class in over a decade by almost every basketball prospect expert out there. Most of us as fans of the Blazers still wanted the best draft position possible last season so we had the best chance to get the most productive guy but I don't remember any hype for the 2024 draft class.

Risacher has started most of the games for his team and they're in sixth in the East. Sarr looks like he has decent upside. No one was saying there was a sure fire all star in that draft class and it seems to be panning out that way... but wait, aren't you the one that says we should give these young guys some time before we pass any judgment on them???

Now this upcoming draft has a lot of hype. The 2025 draft class has a lot of guys that the experts are saying will be all stars. Flagg, Bailey and Dylan Harper are all getting that can't miss type of hype.

Agreed and would say they have probably overperformed. No one setting the world on fire but some surprise contributors.

Yes. Look at this guy drafted # 14. I wonder if he would be doing as well with our coaching?
Kel'el Ware goes for 25 to help Heat beat Spurs

Tim Bontemps: Final: Heat 128, Spurs 107 Kel’el Ware with the game of his career thus far, going for 25 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks in 34 minutes off the bench and spending large chunks of the game guarding Victor Wembanyama, who had 21 & 10 ahead of the Spurs flying to Paris.

There was no hype. That's a straw man you've been beating on for a year now. Doesn't mean it should stop us from looking at prospects when we have a pick in the draft

Huh? Clingan is one of our better prospects. A few of us were excited at adding talent. But sure, keep telling yourself people thought it was the best draft ever. Tell me you understand nuance.

aren’t you an advocate for practicing patience with Scoot? But you’re here letting everyone know that everyone from this draft is cooked after 40 games? Sigh.

Yeah... a more mobile guy in today's NBA may have been a wise decision. I've been beaten into just being less annoyed when our front office doesn't fuck up the worst they possibly can at this point. There were rumors and I'm assuming they were true that we were willing to trade up to make sure we got Clingan. I like Clingan as a change of pace old school big that we can put out there and make teams pay if they don't match up with him but Ware does seem to have more effective minutes in him in more situations than Clingan does.

SMH. This front office is one of the absolute worst.
