The ironic thing is, General Mattis didn't like the nickname. But Trump is like those tools who call people by nicknames they've heard other people refer to them as, or worse yet, makes up some really childish nicknames about the person.

President Donald J Trump is such a pathetic human being.

It’s likely gonna be used to remove a lot of policemen and women, reduced patrols, and less spending on new squad cars every year. I could see the LAPD struggling like school systems where teachers need to bring supplies from home, Police will need to go without a lot of stuff. Also, their lives are gonna be at higher risk as a lot of revenge killings are gonna happen. It’s really sad, dont wanna see police kill citizens by any means... and I don’t wanna read stories about police being shot in their squad cars, assassinated. Then everyone saying “it’s part of the dangers of their job...” it’s a no win situation.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Again, it depends on whether that's actually what they're taking money from or whether they're taking money from the things police departments shouldn't have in the first place. Until that's known, there's no way to know if this is a good move or a bad move.

That said, "more police" isn't what determines the quality of a police department. Training and how those police are deployed is far more important. The LAPD has for years been one of the most aggressive forces in the country--fewer but better trained, smarter police would be a large upgrade

wasn't there a time when lapd was under attack by gangs that had heavier firepower? Over time the police had to upgrade to the same level?
Not a big la fan so i don’t follow their issues other than headlines i suppose.
