Well in my example it is and has been for 40 years now. But in all fairness this is a very limited example. The fact is, those that were favored in my example, the kids with 3.2 or better were damn few, but they didn't need any help anyway. I would have hired them without the dumb ass skewed rules, and they still would not have wanted the job as they recognized their own special abilities.

Where the help is need is in the Cities where the majority of Black people live, outside of the south. These places need real school actually teaching the kid to be qualified and competitive at something.

I believe Trump is going to take this on by making private real education available to these children for the first time in our history. It has been a horrific crime to force this worthless public educations
system on all this kids for generations now. It has only benefited the teachers and the Progressives that fostered this system. They created it for the benefit of those that control the system, not the children for whom, it is mandatory they attend and learn the progressive way, even if nothing else.

Absolutely anyone who automatically thinks a private education is of better quality than a public school education is a moron. Sure, there are private schools that are a cut above, but so is their funding. I went to private schools for 12 years. I am fiercely loyal to those schools for the friends I met, but I cannot defend the quality of the education. Private schools are historically deficient in teaching math and science in particular. The teachers (with admitted exceptions) are those who were passed over by public schools because they were not the cream of their colleges. History is taught with a religious slant, which often skews the reality of what actually happened. What kids get out of private schools that help level the playing field and that public schools seldom provide is structure and discipline, two things that the government oversight has banished. I really struggled when I transferred my oldest son from private to public schools. But once I attended a parents night and saw the quality and quantity of resources and materials, all my apprehensions went straight out the window. Public schools were the better deal by far. @riverman is absolutely correct. At the end of the day, success is up to the student and his parents. My sons are prime examples. They both made their choices. One is a success, one.....not so much. One gets credit and the other gets blame. I certainly don't lay the blame on the government, as truly easy as that might be. But it would be wrong. If your child isn't getting what you expect out of his/her school, the very first place to look for responsibility is in the mirror......

My last gig out doing the recruiting thing sure worked out that way and it was specifically intended to do so. Make an offer to every Black kid with the right majors that had a 3.2 GPA or better average. Do not make an offer to a White kid unless they have 3.8 GPA or better. Ha, I never found a white kid with a Computer Science or EE degree and a GPA of 3.8 or more. I could also hire
Math majors too, but only ever found one, at Standford.
