I don't think that would be horrible. This streak has been great but has also been largely at home with only two road games against anyone that was even decent. Now they start playing teams with better records than theirs at home (like the GS wins) and tougher teams on the road and the schedule gets very road heavy after Boston. No matter how well they are playing, I wouldn't expect their record to continue on the hot streak they have been on. In face, if they were to go 9-3 in the next 12, I would consider that to be about as much of an accomplishment as the 13 in a row given the SOS and the difference between Home and Road games.
Tuesday OKC plays at Boston and Houston at Portland, both nationally televised, so if I may borrow a phrase from another sport, "root root root for the home team".
I don't like OKC winning. Need them staying the 7-8 range so that it increases the chance of PG bouncing in the summer.
I'd go with probably not because of our win streak but because of the phenomenal way we've been playing.
Wow, congrats. That means that my ROOK filter is working. This is my first time being able to read your posts. Mrs. HCP is on her way over
I really wish we could have snapped up Brewer instead of letting OKC get him. They have been playing much better..... but they have also been beating up on really bad teams. That Raptors win was their best win in this streak.
It's just crazy that after a 13 game winning streak, we only have a 2 game cushion for the 3rd seed. I don't think I've ever seen an NBA season with this many teams streaking at the same time. There are so many teams with winnings streaks right now. Just an insane time to be a basketball fan. I love it!
So, you've got rooks, Kingspeed, and Westbrook all on ignore? You really gotta get some thicker skin, bro...
Horribly. Zero points, zero assists, zero rebounds, and 10 turnovers. He fouled out in 5 minutes of play.
Ohhh, gotcha. That must have been the reason they beat those guys. Thanks for the update, was very busy yesterday.
I think we are nailed on for 3rd place finish. It's between Jazz and Thunder for the fourth place but I think Jazz will take it with their favourable schedule. For the 6-8 spots it's between Timberwolves, Nuggets, Clippers and Pelicans, Spurs. Going to be very tight but I don't really fear any of them in the playoffs. Playing Minnesota with Butler back would be by far the worst though so I would rather avoid it. Actually forget that, facing Spurs with Kawhi would be much worse. I would love nothing more than for Thunder to fall to 7 and for Spurs to get 8th. Rockets and Warriors would already be tested in the first round.
