Trade Idea Who would realistically be a suitor for Simons or Nurk?

I'd maybe give up Nurk and parts for Ayton if the Blazers don't add a highly paid player - but no I'm not sending out Ant. Ayton has terrible work ethic, probably the most important trait for success in the NBA. Combine that with overpaid, and it has a history of not looking good at all.

If Blazers can get Bridges the center they should look for is Claxton. He's way better than Ayton and paid way less.

 

Christian Wood was very good for the Mavs when he got 30 min. or more

I haven't seen any "Others" that would send Ant out for basically nothing. I think Ant is a very good , and potentially , elite type shooter. So far, he's been a so-so facilitator . His salary & ability makes it necessary to deal him to get a top talent back. That's what i've seen in here. Hey, as a potential 6th man talent, who can light it up off the bench like a Jamal Crawford or Lou Williams i'm all in. But you aren't going to get Filet Mignon with a cheese sandwich. I read the other day where the Blazers could have had Aaron Gordon for Ant, but Neil wouldn't do it. Gordon's been a big part of what they've accomplished this year. If Joe can add a top notch talent at a needed position for Ant now, i believe he will engage.

 

Keep Ant. Draft Scoot at 3. Trade Nurk for DeRozan;
