yeah, Suns have been right on the verge eh, lol. You know how many times I saw posters say that Minnesota is better than the Blazers? Been going on about 5-6 years now and guess what, they still finish behind us. Suns have a lot of work to do.

an aging backcourt? Technically all backourts are aging, but the Blazer guards are far from being old.

How much you want to wager that T-Wolves finish above Blazers next season?

Yeah, didn't you know that McCollum and Lillard will have to use either a cane or a walker next year to play basketball, lol

Not only will the Blazers not catch every team with their best player out next season like they did this year... but teams also now have the blueprint on how easy McLillard is to defend thanks to the Pelicans... but you want to let the cake bake

Booker might someday be a good defender, Josh Jackson might be good, the new coach is a question mark, whoever they draft could be a bust. I’m not saying it’s out of the realm of possibility that in a couple years they’re good, I am just not that concerned with them right now. I think yes by the time the Blazer guards are 30+ Phoenix might be rising up if (and it’s a big if) a lot of things go there way.

    How about this?

If the Wolves finish with a better record I have to go 10 days without praising or defending Olshey and must make one post per day during that time ripping him.

If the Blazers finish with a better record you have to go 10 days without criticizing or ripping Olshey and must make one post per day during that time praising him.

    Seem fair?

Butler was much better at a younger age and had indicators in his statistical profile that gave him sneaky star upside--oreb rate, monster ft rate, off dribble j % and low to%.

Wingspan and usage % are the only advantages Hutch has as a prospect.

It’s not fair because hopefully at this time next year the Blazers are playing GS in the WCF and all of us are happy with all the moves NK made heh. Oh that’d be nice !

Look back at the #2 selection over the past ten years/drafts! Each of those teams would give their first born to have been in a position to have selected CJ over the player they wound up with!

A top 3 Draft pick is no surety of an all star. Not even close. In fact, some might actually balk at the idea of trading CJ for Picks #3, 19 and 30 of Atlanta.

But for Portland, this would free up a ton of money while building a Celtics-quality team for two/three years from now when the Warriors reign is over. We are NOT going to win a championship in 2019 or 2020, let’s face it. So it’s time to build. Not rebuild, but build.

I’d go as far as trading CJ for Atl’s #3 and #30, letting them keep #19. Then we can consolidate our own #24 with #30 and move up to Clippers #12. [Leaves Clippers with #13/24/30]

We do this for Doncic. I think he can be a 6’-8” 2 guard to play alongside Dame.

Kinda crazy to make a bet before knowing what moves either team will make but I think this will make the season fun.

Dude, there is negative chance of this trade happening. There are a lot of unrealistic suggestions on here but this might take the cake.

I’ll never root against the Blazers unless it’s clear they aren’t making the playoffs, then I’ll root for draft position... and if I’m wrong about this core I’ll be the first to kiss Neil’s ass... no ego here. I just feel that strongly that Dame/CJ combo is fatally flawed and no matter who you put around them it wont work... but I’ll be happy if I’m wrong

Yeah, I was joking. I sincerely hope I’m wrong about NO and whatever moves he makes work out.

Trade TPE to philly for Bayless, rights to Bolden and the 26th pick.

Package 26 and 24 for Clippers 13th pick. Trade value chart according to Pelton says those two picks come out to the value of the 13th pick. Clippers will want to clear salary to be players in FA so they’ll probably be open to it.

Package 13, Harkless, and the rights to Bolden to Chicago for their pick.

    Draft Porter Jr.

May I ask you this - if you were Memphis, with the 4th pick, you would not trade this pick straight up for CJ?

My second question would be, if you were the Kings or the Hawks, would you not consider trading down from 2 or 3 to have both #4 and 24?

[I’m after Doncic using CJ’s value and our #24 pick if need be]
