Blazers interested in Aaron Gordon

Of course they are. But what can they offer?

in the 2021 trade thread it's mentioned that talking to Orlando about Gordon is frustrating teams because Orlando doesn't seem interested; they aren't ones making calls

now that could be the Orlando front office trying to drive up Gordon's value. And, history says teams really don't get engaged much with real talks until the last week before the deadline...so maybe

there were rumours before about blazers being interested in gordon and now we have a credible source as shams saying the same, so i guess blazers are indeed interested in bringing him to the pdx

Usually Blazers trades come out of nowhere, because Neil keeps everything behind close doors.

Guys like Kanter Melo RoCo the Blazers were interested for years then later acquired them. The Blazers were rumored to having interest for Gordon previously as well.

DJJ for Gordon would be a cool swap. We aren't really using DJJ anyways and he's on a one year deal with no bird rights. Additionally, Nassir Little needs minutes.

I'd be in for that. Otherwise they can take Hood and Ant.

Isn't Gordon viewed quite highly? Djj wouldn't be enough I would think.

Not trading them CJ so probably Hood and DJJ or Covington plus a pick

I don't think so. His value has greatly diminished on that shitty team and he hasn't really gotten better at his flaws. Magic will be selling low. DJJ is a young athletic wing. I don't think their value is that far apart.

Not sure how the team could trade for Gordon, he's not worth trading little, simons or trent for (his career average is under 13, and he seems to have peaked already), and I doubt that the Magic are giddy about receiving a package of Hood and Jones Jr for him.

I think Gordon gets a lot of the "grass is greener" reputation from Blazer fans. He shoots meh from 3, and the rest of his #'s aren't much to get excited about. He's a flashy dunker, not sure what else he gives the team.

Though it's not the end all be all, his PER is sub par and his defensive rating is worse than his offensive rating, he's had one season where his defensive rating was better than his offensive rating.

.................or Covington plus a pick

would need to add Zach to keep Portland under the tax line

but think about that: Portland used two 1sts to get Zach; and, they used two 1sts to get RoCo. So if they used RoCo and a 1st to land Gordon, they would have paid 5 first round picks for Gordon, and they'd all likely be mid-first round picks. That is crazy

Sounds like he'd fit right in....

I'd rather have DJJ

Imagine Simons- Jones Jr and Gordon practice slam dunk contest must see TV

DJJ is on a player option his 2nd year.

Other teams will give better offers. Houston wants to trade Oladipo for him

Olshey's love for dunk contest contestants and non all-stars continues!

Pass unless it's a deal like Hood and Collins with NO PICKS.
