Anyone else think Terry Stotts isn't the right coach for the blazers?
 
This is what you came up with for your first post? Smh
 
Dont know... its a whole new group of players...
 
We will never win a championship with terry. I say we fire him and go after thibs
 
Give it a year and the team's record will be bad enough to justify it. If the blazers fire him now I doubt that is going to make management look all that competent ... And why would Thibs want to jump into that clown car?
 
True, but we need a coach like this because he's the closest thing to Pop. He has the same fire under him as pop.

OK fine, but the path you suggest likely turns off the very guy you're trying to woo.
 
Nah, I've wanted a Pop type for years. We had McMillan who had the demanding part but not the intelligence. I wanted Thibs then and still do but you can't fire Stotts right now.
 
Let's let Stotts go another year. See how he develops these kids. He maybe able to really put something awesome on the floor
 
Our defense will get better with thibs and it will attract free agents.

oh come on. You attract free agents by being a winning franchise! If Stotts fields a team that makes it to the WCF, he would have just as much luck bringing in FA as Thibs.
 
Not happening, plain and simple. Terry's done a solid job and it would make the Blazers look like idiots to replace him in the midst of all of this roster turmoil.
 
Yea we can have David vanterpool be the head coach while we go after thibs
 
Ok we can have jay triano. It dosent matter we can get a coach but all I'm saying is we need to fire Stotts
 
Oh boy, looking through this thread, I don't think HCP is going to be happy.
 
I wasn't happy with his playoff performance, but I don't see any reason to fire him now that we've blown up the team. Terry has as good of a chance to succeed with this band of misfits as anyone else. Put together a playoff roster and then we can talk coaching if we think Terry isn't getting enough out of them. Who knows, maybe Terry can mold the team into a competitor.
 
Thibs would be great right now since we got a lot of new faces he can make them play defense and offense to there highest. With terry I don't see that happening.
 
Keep him and assign an inexpensive capable defensive coach to the staff. Our presence in the Memphis series certainly did not help the Stotts cause .
 
Keep Stotts as HCP
