That's an interesting take. You see no issue with going on a forum and spreading inaccurate information, but you are offended by someone responding to correct it?

I keep trying to make this about basketball and your takes, but you continue want to move the discussion away from basketball. I guess that makes sense given the lack of strength on your basketball points, but I think we should move it back there anyway.

Toradol was Cronin’s version of Stott’s 6-man play.

So he's going to be coach until 2030 or so?

I think this is a good point BJ.

Frankly, I think anyone who is trying to monetize their content is going to be subject to pushing an agenda. They are going to be more prone to hyperbole and extreme takes because that's what drives eyeballs. Some do it by way of catering to those who want to believe the organization is great and carrying the water for those who share information with them. Others are going to make their content more towards the audience who believes they are as smart as the key decision makers and loves content that is hypocritical.

I doubt either side would openly say (or are even aware) of how the drive to cater to their audience impacts their ability to be objective.

They'll be tanking next season or they are a rudderless ship.

Hahah fans not believing in the organization isn't good for anyone who covers the team, so I don't understand this "both sides" statement.

Not only do i think the organization is not going to attempt to tank next year unless we get hit with a bunch more injuries, but even if we did, i believe it would be the final year.

I think they will go with this lineup to start next season:
    Scoot
    Sharpe
    Grant
    ???
    Ayton

I thimk tgey try to use Ant and some young players and picks to trade for a legit starting PF

who i hope they dont trade is Brogdon, Camara and Walker.
I think they would be a good core to come off the bench.
Im fine trading Ant, Thybulle, Murray, Manaya, Reath( any or all) along with pics to get thst missing starting PF.

There has always been a market for fans who don't like the teams best player, coach, GM, etc. and are constantly cracing change. I'm not saying you appeal to all those groups, but they are a part of every fan base.

Oh, that looks like a Walmart treadmill if I've ever seen one. Especially with Billups as coach.

I'm just hoping your not confusing those people with others who are tired of this franchises downward spiral and lack of direction and the constant excuses for them.

Certainly two groups, with some overlap I'm sure.

If Sharpe and scoot pop and the pf x factor legitimizes, i don't see treadmill considering the assets we still have to continue to improve.
First that lineup woudl be a hige improvement from this year, trending positive.
Second, young players improve. Hard to say treadmill( long term) when the team is so young. Do you think OKC felt they were a treadmill team last year when they went 42-40?

if we go 500 next year then we should be better the following year without any changes simply due to the growth of all of our young players.

I dont agree with your assessment at all.

It 110% is good for people who cover the “doom and gloom” side. There is a reason that is a major sector of news.

okay, but it has mattered for every other star.
It mattered for okc. If SGA didn't pop, they wouldn't be where they are. If Anthony Edwards didn't pop, Minnesota wouldn't be where they are.

Young potential has to pop, or materialize. So it absolutely matters. Your analogy about your Aunt is silly. That requires surgery.
What doesn't matter is your post. It said nothing of relevance.

That looks like a roster that just got 21 wins, why you think it'll be magically better is beyond me.

Even if the Blazers don't try to tank they may still have very bad records for many many years.

It's not like the year they try hard to win they automatically are awarded wins.

The Warriors have 5 allstars, highest payroll in the league, All NBA season again from Steph and are the 10th seed.

I think joe wanted a utah jazz season as the blueprint for this year.
    • 12-6 to open. (frisky! proof of concept!)
    • ~.500 at the deadline, showing teams that their vets and role players were worth sending out assets for.
    • Deadline: Beasley, Conley, NAW, Vanderbilt out, filler and a first back. cap relief and books balanced.
    • finish with #9 (Hendricks) and #16 picks (George) in a bad draft.
instead ant/RWIII went down in the opening games and the rest is history.

Doesn't everybody have some kind of agenda, no matter how obscure or unconscious?
