Big game this weekend.

Ropp and Suke were discussing a potential name for the rivalry on Primetime yesterday. You know, like the Civil War, or the Iron Bowl, or the Red River Rivalry (whatever they call it now).

What would be a good name for Huskies vs Ducks? This rivalry deserves it's own name.

Oh, and WOOF - BOW DOWN - GO DAWGS

I've got one niece and an adoptive father (now deceased) who were Huskies and a now deceased best friend (who was a running back for the Ducks), three other nieces and an ex roommate who were Ducks. I'm gonna sit this one out.

If I were a betting man, I'd have to go with the Huskies.

This is the kind of game where we can drink Cuba Libre cocktails, have an enjoyable conversation, and watch the game when it's getting really exciting!

Is it on tv? I've only seen 1 game so far...

It's on TV. Can't recall which channel, it might be cable. Anyhow, my DVR is set to copy it so I can watch it with no commercials.

The Foul Bitch Bowl!

thanks PP!
Not sure what he had to fix though?

A fowl is a bird, a duck is a type of bird, ergo a duck is........

I am at work so if you need further explanation I can't help you til I get home. Or ask PP. (Is that okay @PtldPlatypus ?)

ABC except in the southeast US. ESPN2 there.

I can tell from this post that you wish your Beavs had football team huh?
That was a low blow. Anyhow, how did the Ducks do two years ago against the Beavers? Were a lot of tears shed?

It was very humbling indeed. But it good to humbled on occasion.

My son went to UO and I played ball for Taylor Electric way back and Harold he was a huge supporter.

I've got plenty of close ties to U of O alum and harbor no ill will other than sticking my elbow in their ribs.

One of my ambulance drivers told me a story of going to a Civil War game in Corvallis with no tickets but hoping to score some at the gate. So he goes to a popular tavern in Corvallis, the Peacock, which used to be a dive old man's tavern back in the 60s, but is now a very upscale and popular young person's tavern. He and his buddy had on all their U of O clothing. They had a drawing for two very nice seats. Yep, you guessed it, he won the seats. He got a lot of boos and people telling him he'd better leave. I would have given him a good natured boo along with a smile and then would have scolded those who appeared angry as soon as I saw their anger.

Unless it is somethin obvious like the Civil War game, you can't have a rivalry unless it is competitive. Since the Ducks are no longer relevant, quite a feat when you have one of the top QBs in the nation, I doubt anybody in Seattle is circling this game in red.

This is an ignorant take. The loser of this game is eliminated from playoff consideration. Washington has won the last 2 years, but Oregon won the previous 12.

No offense - but what's your point? You can go back in history and find seasons the Blazers were better than the Warrriors...does that mean anything now? They days of the Ducks contending for the Pac12 title are gone - and I say that as a Duck alum. (77)

You been paying attention to Oregon's recruiting or the offense/defense under Arroyo/Leavitt? Things are headed in the right direction. Cristobal turned around a program in FIU that was much worse off than Oregon ever was. Have some faith baby!

You are arguing with yourself. On one hand you say history means nothing, then argue the Ducks are irrelevant and have no shot at winning the Pac 12 title. It's a new year. And right now Oregon is right in the mix

3rd best recruiting class for 19.
