Notice Dwight Jaynes on Talkin'Ball said that Baldwin should be taking some of Shabazz minutes

He should be playing over Pat too. What the fuck does Pat offer that Baldwin doesn’t? Baldwin is a better defender and ballhandler at the very least. I love how Baldwin got no run in the second half. Ginobili wouldn’t have gone off like that with Baldwin guarding him, or he would’ve at least had to work for it.

Jeynes says Baldwin is bigger and better defensively. Shabazz isn't going to be here next year anyway and he will just leave in free agency. The Blazers aren't winning a championship and playing Baldwin more might be a good building block.
Bazz played well tonight and has played well the entire season. It's Pat whose minutes should be reduced at the moment.

Bazz hasn’t really played well since the all star break but I think he’s playing through injuries. What’s Pats excuse

Here is IV's line for the first half tonight.

6 minutes, 3 fouls, had to be pulled out, shot 1 for 1, the rest of the line all zeroes.

Second half, 1 minute, all zeroes.

He can't play many more minutes without fouling out.
(Same for Meyers Leonard. People keep posting that he should get Ed Davis' minutes with Davis injured.)

This is another example of what I just posted.
WB4 played 31 minutes against Houston and didn't foul out.
Only around when something negative appears.

Stotts does not have the balls to make the changes in the playoffs.
He did not have the guts to stop us from shooting 800 3s against Dallas.
Defense will be our undoing in the playoffs. 80 year old Ginobili was wide open all night. So was LaMarcus, Murray, Gay, ... So were the Dallas shooters. Stotts can't figure it out.

I don't know what you just posted, just that you disagreed with me in another thread over whether the team needs changes. If you compare my 25,000 posts to your 5000, you'll probably find that I post 5 times as many negative posts as you do. Gee, I wonder why.

If that's all you got, to back up your disagreement with the objective, non-controversial boxscore line I gave to back up my common sense point where I disagreed with Jaynes, you have no argument at all in defending him. Why did you waste time posting your negative post?

It would have been constructive to tell the world your reasons for why you think that Baldwin IV can take on a lot more minutes without getting into foul trouble. But no, you chose to get personal.

I agree Baldwin does bring it on defense. But he was getting fouls with the way that game was being called. I'm thinking he could do better in the playoffs because the refs seem to let them play a bit more.
Last night Ginobili was making Baldwin pay for being overly aggressive. He is a veteran and he knows every trick in the book. My question is why not allow Baldwin to get his 6 fouls making the guy that was beating you play harder. At the very worst he will only learn something that could come in useful in the playoffs should they draw the Spurs. You got to make older players work hard. That is the only way they don't take advantage of less experienced players. It's actually why Leonard is effective against Aldridge. He knows from experience where LMA wants to shoot from. Then he goes after him. He can't shut him down but he does make him work harder. By the end of the game LMA was less effective.

I don't like Jaynes much but on this point i think he is correct.

For some reason, Manu takes his PEDs before he plays Portland.

I just checked and the box score showed we didn't take 800 3's against Dallas. Genobli also isn't 80 years old. Kind of appears your post is full of shit.

Sign I’m getting old: I totally agree with everything in that Dwight take.

Pat hit his back so hard the other night it reverberated into the past to mess up his game

I think Wade is earning more time, and if he continues to produce, his minutes will get pushed up. Lastnight, this ref crew didn't buy it with Wade, thus multiple quick fouls, but seemed to think the mugging Blazers was A OK. I watched the third quarter again, and was like WTF! One Spur hit Dame up the side of his head along the sideline and it was like, "No harm no foul". Nurk goes up, and Dijon Mustard rubs him slightly and goes down like he was shot. Foul. Wade is going to get more time. I like Shabazz, but he seems to have the same problem as CJ, when it comes to facilitating, especially getting Nurk in good situations. That, in the end, may have Napier moving on.

Saying someone is only around when they have a chance to be negative is personal?
Wow. You need some thicker skin.
With as educated as you pretend to be with your posts. Why do I have to explain everything to you?
You're only around when you have a chance to be 'right' given the teams recent stretch of games. It's not surprising you showed up.

Bazz has been playing the last few games on a sore toe....it shows in his game..he's hobbled and playin' through it...still leads the team in steals though....Turner has been playing with a sore lower back too....it's that time of year

Pretty sure Dwight Jaynes died years ago.

Maybe that's an old story you read? :dunno:

Lets enjoy the fact that Wade has played well with minutes given and Bazz overall has had a nice yr but IMO likely won't be back next yr. We can certainly use a decent sized guard who can play D and has an offensive game as well. More importantly I am looking for us to get Ed and Mo back for the playoffs

He may have a sore toe but that hasn't stopped him from jacking up shoots at a horrible percentage. Since the beginning of March, he is shooting a woeful .366 from the field. If he really has a sore toe, stop bricking it up and get your teammates involved a little more.

I like Bazz...but I agree.
I also find it funny that people harp on CJ for never passing the ball, but they still like Bazz. I swear I've seen Bazz "run" more no-pass possessions than anybody on the team. Bazz is the man. But at this point, Baldwin should be our back-up PG - going into the POs it would be a ballsy move, but I believe it would pay dividends.

I never trust the accuracy of a Jaynes statement.

What's up with that? If he is right he is right. If he is wrong then so be it.
If the only thing you consider is the source then you miss the content.
